Today, we catch up with Eddy to dive into the EP, the process of putting it together, and what might be coming next in his creative path.

I’m great, thanks! Super excited about this release—it’s been a journey and I can’t wait to share it with everyone!
Let’s start with the beginning — what led to the creation of ‘Distorted Perception’? Did you set out to produce an EP, or did these two tracks naturally come together over time?
Producing ‘Distorted Perception’ marked the beginning of a new chapter for me. The two tracks that make up the EP came to life just a week apart, and as soon as I finished the second one, I knew they belonged together. There was a strong connection between them.
When working on the EP, how important was it for you to strike a balance between consistency and variety across the two tracks? Can you share a bit about your creative approach there?
Striking the perfect balance between consistency and variety was crucial for me. I knew one of the two tracks was destined to be the B-side—though at first, I wasn’t sure which one. That uncertainty drove me to craft two distinct yet complementary vibes.
What inspired the title ‘Distorted Perception,’ and how do you feel that idea is reflected in the music itself?
The title ‘Distorted Perception’ was born from the way I sometimes view the world—through a uniquely skewed lens that sets my perspective apart from others. It’s not meant in a negative way, but rather as a celebration of the fact that everyone sees things differently.
With this in mind, I aimed to create music that offers a fresh take on Techno; it’s innovative yet grounded in the fundamental elements of the genre. This approach mirrors the idea of looking at the familiar from a new, ‘distorted’ angle.
Can you take us behind the scenes of the title track’s production? From the pounding low-end to the industrial textures — how did you build the energy and tension in ‘Distorted Perception’?
As always, I started with a simple loop—laying down the bassline and the rhythmic backbone, complete with various textures. In this production, though, I really focused on crafting a well-defined pause that sets up a killer build-up. That precise tension is what makes the drop stand out and explode with energy, driving the track forward in an unforgettable way.
Moving to ‘Feeling High’ – how did your approach to this track differ from ‘Distorted Perception’? Do you tend to follow a set workflow when producing, or does it vary from track to track?
Every track I produce comes with its own reference track, so a lot of it really depends on which element of that reference I want to highlight. Beyond that, my workflow remains pretty consistent, allowing me to maintain my signature flow while adapting the vibe to each track’s unique character.
Sonically, the EP leans into a powerful palette — impactful beats, layered synths, and gritty leads. Would you say these elements define your signature sound? Were there any aspects of these tracks that pushed your creativity or took you outside your usual comfort zone?
With these tracks, I pushed my production to the next level compared to my previous work. But honestly, that level was soon surpassed by what came next. Each track seems to refine my sound even more, and it’s incredible to see how my signature sonic quality keeps evolving.
What was the most challenging part of finishing these tracks? Were there any elements that took longer to get right than others?
The attention to detail definitely took a lot of time and many versions before I was satisfied with them. But the real challenge was the mix. I had a clear vision of how these tracks needed to sound, and getting that exact sound wasn’t easy. It took a lot of fine-tuning to bring everything to life the way I imagined it.
How would you say releasing with a label like SURO Records differs from your experience with self-releasing?
So far, my self-releasing experience has been limited to just one track. I’m much more used to working with labels like SURO. Of course, the support with distribution and promotion is huge, and that’s a massive advantage. But, like anything, it comes with its ‘downsides’—let’s just say, the split on sales isn’t quite as… generous as when you handle everything yourself!
Finally, what’s next for you in terms of releases or projects? Can you share what fans can look forward to next?
I’ve got a ton of music ready to be released and even more that I feel inspired to produce in the coming months. This is the first time I’m saying it, but I’m seriously considering launching my own label—who knows, we’ll see where it goes!
