Becker’s sound has always sat somewhere between understated and uncompromising, and his three track EP for Frame Music, Intergalactic, out since late August, is a solid reminder why that combination works.
The title track kicks things off with rubbery low end and warped, cosmic synth lines riding over driving bass. “Lose Control” takes a more rolling, minimal approach, powered by wiggling synth hooks and sharp percussion. “Hello Tunisia” rounds the EP off with its loosest moment yet, fragmented vocal snippets and echoing bongos sitting inside a spacious, off kilter arrangement that never loses its shape.
A London based, German born DJ with releases on WYS, Serialism and Horizont Audio, Becker is also a permanent resident with Ritmo London, where he continues to build his reputation within the city’s underground scene.
