Dancefloor is an independent platform created by people who live and breathe dance music. It’s not a corporate behemoth, it is here to strengthen and uplift the vital communities which are the lifeblood of the scene while also helping artists and promoters thrive. 

Founder & CEO Ben King started coding in his teens and has been a tech entrepreneur ever since. After being immersed in the dance music world he grew frustrated at the offerings of existing platforms so was inspired to build Dancefloor.

Ben explains, “I wanted to build Dancefloor mostly for myself. It was annoying having to bounce around multiple apps, and it was surprisingly hard to find out when my favourite DJs were playing in my city. Since the app went live, the reaction has been incredible. Fans are really discovering so many new artists and events. There is so much we can do here to help fans and the wider dance community, and we’re just getting started.”

The platform is tailored to three key groups, each with unique features. For fans, they can discover new DJs and events through a personalised feed, get instant alerts when their favourite DJs announce local shows and get closer to artists with music and video integrations via Spotify, YouTube, Boiler Room and Soundcloud;  users can even connect their Soundcloud accounts to sync up followed artists, so they never miss a show.

For DJs, Dancefloor promises more gigs with fewer barriers as promoters can identify the up-and-coming artists blowing up within their customer base and perfect for their next event, directly connecting with their booking contacts with no middleman.
