Portland-based producer FENRA returns with Chicago EP, released on 13 March 2026 via Base Layer Records. The new project follows the momentum of his debut Delusional, which introduced his blend of emotive electronic production and detail-rich arrangement, and now finds him revisiting earlier material from a fresh angle.

Built from the stems of his original track ‘CHICAGO’, the EP reworks the same source into three separate pieces: ‘CHICAGO AM’, ‘CHICAGO PM’ and ‘CHICAGO REM’. It is a concise concept, but one that says a lot about FENRA’s creative direction and interest in transformation rather than repetition.

Sonically, the release points toward broken beat textures, airy synth work, choral touches and a strong sense of motion, especially on ‘CHICAGO PM’, which pushes rhythm further to the front. Rather than overexplaining it, this is the kind of EP that works best when heard in full, letting listeners decide which version of ‘CHICAGO’ lands the hardest.
