Love to be… makes anticipated Manchester return following packed show

Renowned house music brand, Love to be… returns to Manchester at The Yard with a special Bank Holiday event from 2pm – 11pm on Sunday 4th May. Utilising the venue’s unique, multi-use spaces in what marks the first Love to be… event in Manchester in five years, this massive day party sees house music royalty, Roger Sanchez, headline the open-air courtyard stage, and disco legend, John Morales, headline an extended set in room 2, hosted by Manchester’s finest disco brand, EDIT. With over a dozen DJs in store, including Trimtone, Nicola Bear, Jaegerossa and Supernature, high-quality production throughout, local food traders, plus a bonus day off work on Monday, this is one Sunday shindig worth coming out for. Tickets are on sale via Skiddle.

Love to be… has been a trailblazer in the UK club scene for over 30 years. From its origins at Sheffield’s Music Factory in ‘94, the house music brand was championed as the North’s original super club with an inimitable atmosphere and legendary lineups of Frankie Knuckles, Masters At Work, and Marshall Jefferson. Its 30th anniversary was marked with an international tour taking in Sydney, Ibiza and Amsterdam, and the launch of the sell-out Love to be… Festival in Harrogate.

Today with its worldwide syndicated radio show and record label, Love to be… beats on with the same energy that fuelled the brand’s early days, with a renewed energy for new and innovative house music. Staging global house music dons alongside contemporaries such as Sonny Fodera, Darius Syrossian and Adelphi Music Factory, and the scene’s next wave of talent, Love to be… looks to the future with a vibrant and cutting-edge community bridging generations on the dance floor.

Bank holiday clubbers are in for a treat in Manchester when Love to be… brings the outdoor house vibes to The Yard. Featuring alongside the Grammy Award-winning Roger Sanchez is Trimtone comprising of Love to be… founders and DJ / producers in their own right, Tony Walker and Marc Dennis. Parklife regular Nicola Bear also lines up, bringing her trademark eclectic sound, alongside Love to be… regulars and label favourites, Stuart Pilling, Sinclair, Keex and Electric Emma.

EDIT, Manchester’s trusted disco brand since 2012, curates the intimate disco room, serving masterful disco, funk and house from John Morales, with support from Jaegerossa – one of the heads behind the prolific label, Midnight Riot – Manchester collective, Supernature, Clara B, Faz and Tobie C.

Set amongst Manchester’s fashion wholesale district The Yard is a hidden gem. It’s grown into an iconic, independent hub for the city’s creative mix of designers, artists and musicians, drawn to its versatile spaces and the enclosed oasis of the cobbled Back Yard.

With a history of memorable events including a sell-out show in Manchester in 2020, the Love to be… bank holiday event promises a discerning crowd, positive energy, and a quality soundtrack from day into night.
