With her debut track Lost In Rhythm landing via Easter Egg Plant, Rani Kryeziu steps into the spotlight as a producer who merges emotional storytelling with floor-focused energy. The Belgian-Albanian DJ turned producer opens up to EDM Rebel about trusting her instincts, balancing melody and power, and how Ibiza, New York and late-night studio moments shaped her first official release.
“Lost In Rhythm” is your official debut — how does it feel to finally have your first release out in the world?
An unreal feeling. Two years ago, I would’ve never imagined this. But I always follow my intuition, and something told me this was the right step for me.
The track has a strong emotional pulse while still being club-ready. How do you balance melody and energy when producing?
When I’m producing, I fully immerse myself in the story I want to share. For me, creating a track is like telling a story—just like in a DJ set. If I can move people emotionally, even during a night out, that’s a successful night. The melody gives space to breathe, to absorb everything. That’s what brings balance to the energy.
What was the moment in the studio when you knew: “Yes, this is the one”?
The moment I finished it. Everything just clicked. I always wait a week before listening back, and when I finally did, I caught myself singing it in random places. That was it—confirmation!
You come from a DJ background — how does your experience behind the decks shape the way you produce?
You learn how people move, what keeps them connected. DJing teaches you how to read energy and build emotion. I always wanted to bring something fresh to my sets—and that desire naturally evolved into wanting to create my own music. Something that feels like “me”.
Tell us about your journey from digging tracks to producing your own. What were the biggest creative challenges?
I’m definitely a perfectionist. I can spend days selecting the right track for a set, and the same goes for producing. Sometimes I get stuck on tiny details, which makes it hard to let go and say “it’s done.” But I’m learning.
Your remix is called “From Ibiza to New York Mix.” Is there a personal connection to those two places?
Absolutely. Ibiza feels like home—I’ve been going for ten years. It holds so many memories for me. New York, I haven’t been yet, but I imagine it every time I think of non-stop life, movement, neon energy. Both cities inspired the feeling behind the remix.
Easter Egg Plant is known for supporting new talent. How did that collaboration happen?
It all started through social media. Everything happened fast and naturally. This is my first label release, and it feels amazing to be seen and supported by them. Easter Egg Plant releases under ASG Music, which is already well respected in the scene.
As a rising artist, what are your goals for the next year? More music? Shows? A full EP?
All of it! I want to keep growing, keep learning, and just enjoy every part of the journey. More music is definitely coming—and I’ll say yes to every opportunity that lets me do what I love.
