Tobias Bergson breathes new club life into EMMI IIDA’s meditative single ‘Tell Me’
On August 15th, Finnish multidisciplinary artist EMMI IIDA and Austrian producer Tobias Bergson released a beautifully layered remix of Tell Me, out via EFG Records Oy. Originally a serene ambient track from Emmi’s debut album The Eye, this new version transforms the song into a cinematic, floor-ready journey without losing its ethereal soul.
Where Emmi’s original drew on ambient textures and spacious vocals, Bergson infuses the track with crisp percussion, steady grooves, and a flowing melodic house structure that gently lifts the listener into motion. The vocals remain front and center—a delicate reminder of the track’s introspective roots—while the remix elevates the entire mood into the sonic territory of Tinlicker, Yotto, or Ben Böhmer.
Bergson shared: “I instantly liked EMMI’s voice and felt inspired to speed up the vocals from 90 bpm to 120 bpm. I think I produced about five different versions until I finally felt; ‘Okay, this is the one.’
This remix doesn’t just reframe Tell Me for the club—it expands its emotional resonance, grounding the track in rhythm while letting its spirit float free.
