This year’s festival will feature an incredible 66 laser fixtures and over 1,250 watts of laser power which will add up to create a dazzling spectacle that requires special permission from the Finnish radiation and flight authorities. To accommodate this groundbreaking show, the festival’s stage has been strategically relocated.
The stage is a custom-built scaffold structure with LED screens and more than 150 m² of mirror walls. Additionally, over 220 lighting fixtures and 5,300 watts of lighting will complement the lasers to enhance the festival’s vibrant atmosphere. The stage design will include two DJ booths, one of which will be a 360-degree podium amid the crowd to offer a truly immersive experience for attendees.
This special stage and lighting design comes from renowned designer Jack Fone and A Light Productions. He has worked with top-tier artists and some of the world’s biggest festivals so knows what it takes to dream up and make reality a visually stunning and dynamic multi-sensory environment.
Says Weekend Festival Marketing Director Atro Anttila, “According to our values, our festival is a constantly developing amusement park-like experience that goes beyond the traditional festival experience. We strive to offer something new and exciting every year and create an environment that keeps festival-goers coming back again and again. We can’t wait to share this year’s experiences with the public,”
“We are proud to be able to offer our guests much more than just a music festival. We believe that attention to detail and visual appearance are key to creating an unforgettable festival experience. Our mission is to inspire, surprise, and refresh festival-goers in every possible way.”
The Weekend Festival also showcases versatile spatial art, spectacular structures, and customised stages and recently announced the underground-focused CNNCT x Taco Bell Stage. The unique stage promises to be an unmissable hub of forward-thinking sounds from key tastemakers such as Space 92, Juliet Fox, Wade, Miss Monique, Miane, Jay De Lys, Rebūke, and many more.
